Thanks Sinewave - the weird thing is , it def has 526 printed on it, but appears only 520 or 525 pitch chains exist - anyone got any ideas?
TBH, I've only known about 530, 525 & 520 sizes? Maybe they miss read? Have a check your self seems prudent, gota be 525 I reckon?
from what I can gather AL the 526 is a designation code .....to use on a 525 chain Sprocket Question.... [Archive] - Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle Forums Gixxer.com Vortex 526 45 Rear Aluminum Sprocket | eBay here so you've not miss read it https://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&pws=0&q=vortex+526 just read yours is the 525a so going by the gixer forum the "a" designation is a 520 chain....fcuking complicated if you ask me!
You'd expect it to be a 520 Chain and Sprockets if it's a Track Bike. When you say it's definitely a 526a Sprocket does this mean you have seen this personally stamped on the rear sprocket body?
Well someone makes em, albeit in a 43 T one! Vortex - 526A-43 - Rear Sprocket, Aluminum - Silver - 43T | eBay Solved! 526 is just a manufacturing designation! You are running a 520 pitched Chain & Sprockets! See this thread on Gixer.com explaining. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-255842.html
