I'm just interested to find out more. Here are the only 2 pics (yes one with me on there) if my Grandfather's last bike I can just make out it was a MZ? I was about 15 so 1992. I have no idea how old the bike was then. or the reg either So anyone know any more about these bikes?
Think that's the one. My dad had similar in the yard years ago.... Was going to say in a maroon colour but then clicked on the link ha. Will ask him and confirm
Confirmed. TS 250. Early ones made in east Germany - late ones turkey. Apparently?? From dad via mum so could be way off lol
I used to have a pair of those trainers... Nike Air Max... very nice they were. Disturbingly, I also used to have a very similar hairstyle at the time
Unsure if the hair thing was a bad thing but must mean we are around the same age. 38 next week As for the Air max I can remember when they first came out and amazing they are still making and selling loads still
The hair was of it's time... personally, I was trying to look like Kurt Cobain! And I'm way, way younger than you I'm afraid...... I'm not 38 til July
No use at identifying the OMZ and won't comment on the hair, but if he bought it from new in Bristol then I know where the shop was as I spent 5 years taking the bus to school and going past the dealer. Only ever known one OMZ owner though.
Ring da ding ding ding !!! Lol remember my neighbour having one, hear it was him coming up the road, thought he was cool on it.
They were fairly common in the seventies. They weren't exactly desirable when compared to the Jap smokers of the day but seemed to be no nonsense, reliable cheap to run bikes for people who didn't need to be seen on the hottest bike.
I remember watching a lad racing one against LCs etc in a proddy race at Langbourough in Middlesbrough a few years back (Ok mebs more than a few years ..... probably about 25), Can't remember the lads name but he was showing them all how to ride .... we we're well impressed
I may get one in the future. Just to rekindle old memories and see how it rides compared to the blade ha
