Hi all, I've just bought an 07 frame and swingarm (complete with hologram paint job which i'm undecided about) and i'm looking to put the swingarm in my RR5. The 07 swingarm is apparently lighter, just wondering if anyone knows if it'll be a straight forward swap? Are the dimensions different or are the changes purely in the later models revised linkages? If nobody can answer then i'll end up just attempting it next weekend and get the two side by side to measure up before hanging the new swing arm (and obviously i'll let you all know how i get on...) Also, anyone need a spare race/track frame?! Cheers in advance, Matt

I've never thought of replacing my swing arm with a black on my RR5, like the idea! I will follow the action and see whats happens. Pics if successful ?
I'm more interested in the weight saving than the colour, but also doing some research i think changing the dogbones and linkages will give it better geometry. Might cause problems with the Ohlins shock though as i think the 06-07 has a longer shock. At this stage i'm just looking to change the swingarm if possible to save a bit of unsprung weight! I kind of like the silver swingarm....
Have you had a black swing arm before guys .. bloody nightmare IMO . after 3 years my 600 and marks all over it . At least a sliver swingers marks don't stick out like a saw thumb
