Hi I need to get a couple of new bolts for my rear sets on my 2005 blade, I used lock tight on the bolts which secure the rear sets too the frame, unfortunately I have come to remove them and one bolt has rounded off, I'm just unsure about what to order, many thanks in advance Karl
First thing I'd try is a rubber glove between the bolt head and socket if the heads not too rounded. Failing that I'd dremel a slot in the bolt head to use a large flat screwdriver.
Thank you for the reply mate, I should of specified I managed to get the old bolt out but I just need to order replacement bolt, not sure on thread size, I cant use original bolts because the head of the bolts are too big to go inside the rear set many thanks Karl
I take it you are fitting aftermarket rear sets? I believe the threads are m8x22, you should be able to shop around for something with a smaller head, hope this helps. this is just an example I found on E-bay in about 3 seconds, gives you all the dimensions in the listing including head diameter. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M8-8mm-A2...hash=item2ec27d0eb5:m:mpSMehTsPU9frCXXooMNngw
