    Hi All,

I am new to this group and any info with respect to below issue would be greatly appreciated.

I recently bought used 2006 Fireblade. 16K done. All this while my CBR was sounding very well and loved the performance. But when i tried to start today it suddenly started sounding like ducati(beats & misfire) in lower RPM and very sluggish. Its struggling to throttle and i am getting worried. I feel its spark plug issue. Is this something I need to worry about? Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks,
    D

Assuming it was OK the last time you used it, and all you've done is fire it up and it sounds lumpy then I doubt it's terminal. More like water/moisture or like you say a plug/coil issue. Has it been out in rain or did you get carried away with hosepipe.

I would say the same... Plug issue of coil issue, it's going to run like a Ducati if it's going down on any cylinders, pull the tank and airbox out and pull the plugs and test to make sure your sparking on all four ....

The way that it just start does sound like a coil, either work or don't, also check for signs of tracking down the side of the plug as the plug insulation may have broken down.

    Hi All,

Thanks for your valuable inputs. I have given my Bike for service as i do not have necessary tools and knowledge to do it myself. I will update this thread once I have further updates from my mechanic. Hopefully this should be Plugs issue...

    Regards,
    D
