    HELP Please!!!

Right spent some time today on the blade. tilt sensor fitted, loom taken off the nose everything hooked up

    So dash multi plug fitted,
multi plug onto bike from loom, smaller plug fitted, air breather tube capped off.

Also light's removed, indicators off, horn off, wires to the air breathers removed

Started the bike, using the new lithium battery and started first time. quickly cranked up and all going well, Until I noticed the dash rev counter is not moving. And the digital read out is blank
The light for the HISS comes on, indicators flash when used, main beam light comes on but no dash readout or rev counter?

    What have I done wrong.
I think I have connected all the plugs correct IE plugged in. I know all the multi plugs are in the right place. I think I connected the wires that I needed to the battery. but unsure what I need to have connected that may require a feed to the dash and rev counter?

just connected the front lights and they work fine, but the rear light unit is in place but not working ? the brake lights works but not the rear light. Also when I hooked up the no plate holder, the no plate light does not work?

    Any ideas?

Firstly have you had the ecu plugs off on top of tank cleaned bike with fairings off ? unplug these give them a blow out reconnect. Clean multiplug into clocks make sure no condensation while been off . Any plugs that have been off take off again look for moisture I had this problem the day I was taking my bike to be p/x

I think you would of but check all fuses but I think there would be nothing on clocks at all if fuse had popped ! Also try old battery on just to get that out the equation

If anything like the rr5, I had exactly same problem and it was a block of fuses behind the battery (near pillion seat) I got some contact cleaner in there- job done:D

Fuses ok from what I can see, I stripped the whole back end just in case i trapped a wire but all looks fine, checked all plugs fine. connatced the front lights up and working, all indicators working. fitted the front and read back on, fitted the air breather sensor plugs in. Old battery bot tried but will do. good idea

But only thing I have not got working other than the dash rev counter, speedo or lights on dash are the daylight running lights on the mirrors, rear light or no plate light. but again indicators work, brake light and headlights and main beam

Ive had this same question before, with the same problems.. Chap fitted a tail tidy and lost the digital readout, rev counter and tail light! I said maybe he popped a fues, lost an earth (cluster under panel) or pulled a connector? He never did reply with fixed or not..... Id check your connectors etc and fuse's as said.

I will get some tomorrow. I think putting the original battery on and the fuses to have a very close look at. from what I see seems to be connected like Art said so I may have just over looked a fuse in the hunt for finding something else

Quick question. Is the only fuse box for the lights under the seat?

Just want to make sure there are no others I may have missed

on the 04-07 ones the fuse was a 3amp one
and the tell tail it was blown was the Hiss light
would also stop flashing.not sure about the newer
models as I havent really worked on them yet.
