    Hi all, I am a newbie to the site, hoping to pick my 2006 blade up on saturday if it meets the description, anything serious I should look out for before I buy?

    Ive never owned an 06 model so Ill leave it to the 06 Gurus to answer the question, although I have heard it was a great model

    I've got an rr4 and it's pretty much bullet proof and its done over 25k.

    Welcome Decker.Don't know of any nasty surprises on that model.Accident damage is probably the most important on your your list.Fantastic bikes they are.

    Thanks to all who have welcomed me, the only bad thing Ihear aout thr RR6 (06) is there is some engine oil use??? any thoughts apparentely they can use around 600-800mls of oil per 1000miles any news or recommendatios as you can't tell until after you have bought it and had it for a while.....:confused:

    Are you sure that's not the 08- blades you've been reading about mate. It's quite a sore point on here at the moment.

    +1 on what colin said, i have not heard about any oil issues on the rr-6, just the rr-8 +

    recently got a blade, only thing as others have said is some drink more oil then others. Check around the screws in the fairing for cracks etc.

    Hope it goes well and look forward to the pics!

    Well I've just gone and done it Bought My Black 06 Blade, and rode it from Windsor to Pembrokeshire.... good stuff
