Been a member for quite some time, so it feels strange saying hello again, but guess I need to do the job properly!

Following on from my previous thread, I'm pleased to say that I'm now a Fireblade owner :D - albeit that I don't have it yet :(

Visited my local Honda dealer this evening after putting a holding deposit down on a bike over the phone yesterday. The dealer said that it was immaculate and they weren't far off! Now I just have the agonising wait of them valeting it, PDIing it, servicing it and finally delivering it to Sossige Towers.

It's a 2009 HRC (I love that colour scheme) with 12000 miles on the clock. Aside from a tail tidy and an alarm, it's completely standard with FSH.

Before you all scream "we want pics Soss", here they are:

Happy? You betcha. Thanks to allblade and others for looking/offering to look at bikes for me.

    Soss

Welcome, Sossige. Nice introduction, pictures on first post, almost like an old hand at this.

Enjoy your stay, I'm sure you'll soon get the hang of it.

    Ken.

If its not on it, fit Venture sheild paint cover stuff - the pearl white on side fairings can go off and the metalic blue is worth saving - esp when you have located such a tidy looking bike.

New stop is down to HM for a quickshifter - makes a real difference to how bike rides, feels loads sharper

You can also add a large blue hugger at some point - budget £175 but maybe dealer can supply and fit and put into whole package.

Venture shield kit is £90 and just takes a bit of time to fit but not too hard if you are patient

Thanks all. Probably looking to put some GB Racing protection on there asap, as well as some stomp grips.

Just had an update from the dealer :)

They are looking to get it into the workshop on the 30th and deliver it on the 31st! :D

Apparently they are also going to replace the chain/sprockets and the front brake pads - nice!

Looks mint that Sos, HRC are the best!

Might just be the photo angle but is that Tank Pad on straight in Pic 1, looks offset to the right?

I think it's just some magical distortion of my camera phone - didn't notice it in person!

No Ventureshield, may look at it later. Doesn't have a rad guard, will probably look into that when I start looking at the GB Racing protection I want to put on.
