I am looking for the procedure to program a blank key into the hiss security system.
a friend of mine asked me to help him as he lost one of his keys and is now down to 1 key left.
loosing that apparently means buying a new ecu and he s a twat when it comes to loosing stuff..
the dealership here wants 200 euro for a key and programming so he got a blank programmable one of of ebay wich he got cut and now needs programming...
    its a 2010 fireblade..
i cant find anything in the oem workshop manual about the procedure tho so help is appriciated...

    cheers upfront...

I'm not sure it works on the newer HISS security systems, but on my old cbr600fx, I was able to make a cable up with a resistor in it. IIRC, you plug the cable in with the working key, turn ignition on, deprogram your old key, then insert each new key into the barrel and job done. I'd need to brush up on the exact procedure, but I remember being very nervous that I was going to end up with no keys.
