I used to add my own key and for friends on the HISS system on the 04-07 bikes all the time. I ve been asked by a member if i can do the 08 onwards so ive had a look into it . Im ok with locating stuff and doing it but i need reassurance that i have my wires correct as the manual makes it hard for my little brain to understand. Its done through the CKP (crank sensor always 2 wired and red plug) on the earlier blades this was behind side fairing. Ive located on the 08 bikes that it is behind around the starter motor so i dont think ill have to remove any fairings . Now i have looked and it seems that the + is the yellow wire and the negative -is the yellow/white wire can someone back me up on this . Im sure it was the same wires on the earlier models and i needed someone the reassure me that i was correct . Im gonna try my 12 first and i already have the lead made and forum members if they can get to me with cut and blank chipped keys ill do them free. YOU MUST HAVE 1 WORKING KEY AND ONLY ARE ONLY ALLOWED 4 KEYS TO BE PUT INTO SYSTEM. HISS new spare key programming coding - here is how to do it !! : Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: 1000RR.net
One option could be this... I bring my bike down with the bust ECU to test - yes its a hassle to swap them over - see if we can clone a key if all good swap the ECU over and code a key to my working ECU (its only the rev counter that has failed)
