Forgive me if I sound like a right Muppet but each time I parked up the bike and removed the key the HISS light on the Rev counter would flash and continue to flash until I switched the ignition on. It has stopped doing this and now only lights when the ignition is initially switched to on, any thoughts on what is going on? Is my HISS no longer working? or could it be something simple?
If the HISS is activated it will flash for 24hrs then stop flashing. This is to save the battery if youre not using the bike for several days. If it's not flashing anymore at all, it's probably because you've de activated it while pressing the dash buttons for something else. Your HISS is still working though. I always de activate the flasher on mine to save the battery in any case
There was (is) a way to disable the light from flashing. You been using the dash buttons? Found this for older models, also found the same for nc700 and 600s so probably standard across Honda turn on the ignition and hold in the left hand button on the dash. The light will then flash once. Turn off the ignition again and away you go. This light will flash for 24hrs and will de-activate automatically after 24hrs if the ignition is not turned on. This saves on batt power http://www.biker.ie/forum/showthread.php?t=64597
