All right lads I ended up with the HM plus SS for the zx Now its the first quickshifter ive ever used and was wondering 1. How smooth is the shift meant to be 2. What kill time is everyone using (The manual says 60ms is about optimum for a superbike) 3. What sensitivity are you running (Ive got it at 45% not sure if its to low or whatever) 4. Can I actually mount the display screen thing on the out side of my bike somewhere I can see it or is under the seat the best place where is it now next to the power commander?? I know its meant to be used in anger at max rpm changes but I feel like its so wrong and my box will eventually die which I don't want it can be super smooth up in say 4th onwards at max rpm but there can also be a slight delayed feeling when changing gear which feels quite rough on the box??
I'm runnin the SS on my Gsxr trackbike with a setting of sensitivity of 35 with a cut time of 50m/s. I found the cut times can be a lil individual to each bike and requires a lil bit of fiddling in order to find what works best on your bike. I think the thing to remember about using a QS is don't get lazy with your shifting and just tap the lever and hope the shifter will do it all for you, try and engage each gear as if the QS wasn't there making sure your foot pushes the lever fully up or down. I found the bike can feel a bit lurchy if you get lazy with the changes although this is more a problem towards the end of the day when you start getting tired.
