Just installed to my R6 Just out of interest what sensitivity did you guys have to go to??? Mine's set at 80%!! Seems high??
Mine's set at 55% (Gilles rearset) and a kill time of 70 but the bike lurches a little so going to turn it down a touch.
70 will be very long as far as kill times go, you want around 62 for say mid range and down to 50-55 for top end, sens should be set so when a good amount of load is on the peddle SHIFT shows on the display as it clunks into a gear, each bike is different depending on the box and linkage used, once you get SHIFT showing on the LCD when it loads and clunks into a gear (bike not running) then you are somewhere in the range needed, you can go down another 5-10% and it should be good, sometimes some fine tuning is needed. Kill times like you say are, if it's lurching then it's too long, if it's hard to shift then too short, a good tip is set your shift light to come on where you have it set slick, then you have a marker to aim for with the change, some are as low as 50ms on track.
I had the opportunity to test mine at weekend (road going Blade); the sens had to be at 85 in order to show "SHIFT" just before engaging gear (R & G Rearsets). I set the kill to 65 & then 62 but I think I need to try it a bit lower. I know you don't use them between first & second, but to change at high revs from 2nd onward is warp speed on the road! For me, mid range should be much better on a road bike. With 65 & 62, I found the changes from 2nd to 3rd (at higher revs) clunky; the changes from 3rd onward were smooth (at lower revs). I guess that means the kill time at higher revs (lower gears)is too short?
