Right i have got a hm shifter on its way in the next couple of days and i just need to know if i need to buy a longer shift rod or not 2013-03-10 12.57.27.jpg
The 1 that is coming with the kit is 210mm long and my current shift rod is 230mm, but as you can see from the pic above i could rotate the clamp into the gearbox down quite a lot. do you think this would be enough for the 210mm shift rod to fit ok ?

The rod needs to be 50mm shorter for the sensor.. I would adjust the whole setup so your lever is more parallel or more effort will be required to shift... in other words the lever at the gear box needs to be about 1 o clock..

The rod will need to be the length set by peddle height and 1 o clock position of the selector arm/lever mate, you can get rods from HM Racing or HM Quickshifter so I'd measure it up then subtract 50mm to give you your required rod length...
