Hi does anyone have the fitting instructions for a Renntec rack 2005 / 2007........ I know its a simple job but the rack won't fit over the seat lock mechanism. Just want to get it correct....... Cheers Mike.
Hi Mike ,are you sure you have the correct carrier, It should just fit . The carrier comes with longer bolts to replace the oem ones where the catch is for the seat, And sticky foam to protect your bodywork at contact points.
Yes I'm sure its the correct one, I haven't had much of a go to be honest but the aluminium locking catch under the seat doesn't fit through the rack. All I can think is the aluminium seat retaining bracket goes on top of the rack mounting plate. Mike
Hi i had a renntec grab rail on mine if you mean the catch at the rear of the seat unit you have to remove it then refit when the rack is in place and replace the bolts right and left at the front of the pillion seat area if you offer it up you will see them easily
