so when i come to buy my next blade it will most likely to be bought on finance and hopefully 0% what i want to know is how easy is it to get accepted for finance from honda uk,or maybe black horse ect also if anybody has ever been rejected for whatever reason then any information as to why would be greatly appreciated
Fez, you'll get your pants pulled down mate getting finance from these guys! Why don't you get a loan from one of the supermarkets ie. Sainsburys or Tescos then go to a dealer with the cash. It's one of the cheapest forms of borrowing at the moment.
Funnily enough I've just been to my supplying dealer today to sign the Docs for the 3 years 0% deal on me new Blade. If you've got around £4K deposit then jobs a good-un. The finance with Honda UK is actually HP so they couldn't give a toss (within reason) how much you owe elsewhere so it's far less stringent than going to a Bank etc for a loan. I've paid just under 4K deposit and it'll be £186/month for 3 years on a new 2012 ABS Blade which is being delivered this Wednesday! Pics Wednesday night! (They're to busy on Friday so I get it two days early but I'll get shot if it hits the road before Friday!)
if you get cash from supermarket etc you can use that to negotiate a way better price go to any dealer for quotes, far better bargaining tool cash is king!
Depends what price new you can get it for, Farnham Honda have 0% on 2013 model like Barneys at £10,495. Give them a visit and see what they'll do for cash, they might not do it any cheaper but may well throw in some extras. The point I'm making is don't always assume it's the best deal just because it's 0%, do a bit of homework and work out the difference if you were to go in with cash.
You might get a few quid off for Cash but not much in these times, they are already giving them away at the mo. If you're borrowing at a percentage from a Bank or Supermarket Finance Dept to negotiate a 'Cash' deal then you'll lose out as the percentage interest will be more than you'll get off compared to the 0% deal if you have £4K savings
well i have a few ££ saved up, i keep looking at this as its just up the road from me, i know i wont get it on 0% but if i walk in with £7500 (my bike included as px) i might have a good chance of getting it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBR...8348887?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item27cf1a8f57 or this which is available on 0% http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif.../8/advert-type/standard-listing?logcode=ucbnp
There's no such thing as a free meal in this world, the 0% must cost someone something? And I suspect that will be the dealer?
not sure if it helps at all, but you dont need a whopping deposit. I only put down a paltry £600 deposit and Honda gave me 9300. for my repsol last July. Ok, Ok ive got 4 years to pay and a wicked monthly premium...but that was my choice. Id had the other one 15 years...I was due a new one...wasnt I?
A - i have a spray job in mind and i need it to have a silver frame to look right for me (and yes it does include white) B - no its an 2008 with 12.5k on the clock, i know really thats not all that much but i cant bring myself to plough money into a bike with that millage even if it will reach 30k without any major issues i know i sound like a spoilt brat with to many pennies but i have a plan and have been saving quite hard for the past year so i can have my dream bike
Go for it then Fez, if it was my money though I'd want something more than two years on. This paint job you have in mind must be pretty special to be a big improvement on the one you already have. I wouldn't be too hung up on how many miles you put on it Fez, my first blade, I put 55,000 miles on then 33,000 on my next and I've currently got 17,000 on my 2008 although that's pretty low by my standards. Ask Alblade about high mileage, he's yer man!
I suspect palms were/are greased along the way I'm not standing up for dealers BTW Andrew. They had the good times, and now like the rest of us, they have to weather the bad.
Talk to Hunts in Manchester - they are the biggest Fireblade supplier in the UK by some margin (not in total bike sales but they don't sell lots of scooters) They always have a good range of stock and some good 0% deals at the moment on new kit - try them for PX but you may get best deal if you can sell private - they will hold a bike with a small deposit while you sell yours I am sure. New Honda Fireblade Discount Offer THat is delivered to your door, or they have a an HRC 2012 Model year bike (WHite one) just under 9k A brand new Hutchy replica for 9.4k - what looks real good deal, 2011 HRC Blade for £6895 as its done 13k miles (just about run in) which is a steal as its still under warranty - get a new 2012 rear shock for say #250 and a quick shifter for #450 and that's a very tasty bike. Lots of options if you look at the used bike section
I didn't think you were mate, I thought that the dealers used to get paid for selling bikes etc on finance. I might have dreamed it all tho!
