honda parts

    As i am replacing the cam chain tensioner for the second time, i was wondering if there are any upgraded parts available as the genuine one's keep failing.
    i know about the ape one's but not sure i trust myself with the adjustment's

    I got fed up using the Honda parts,after 2 failures I now use a the ape version, adjusted it once only, have not touched it in 7000 miles

    any tips on adjustment mate?

    Adjust it while the engine is hot, slowly turn the screw until slight resistance is felt, this is the plastic runner touching the cam chain, run engine and listen and if any slight rattle is heard turn adjuster screw with engine running to eliminate. then nip up lock nut. That's all there is to it.
