Well my Honda CRV has been off the road for at least 6 weeks as my engine management light came on an the car went into limp mode, I booked the car in for investigation and after charging me £50 they told me that my turbo was knackered and gave me a quote of £3355 to repair it. Now this was completely in affordable for me as we just don't have that kind of cash so I had to save and look for a cheaper repair else where (plus was same week the gearbox popped on blade ) Anyway after lots of struggling for cash we sorced a recon turbo, I have just had a turbo specialist look at the car plug in diagnostics, drive it, the dismantle the car to confirm that I have a perfectly healthy turbo and engine!!!!! Honda would of robbed me of £3355 of my hard earned cash if I had it and replaced a perfically good turbo! Or taken my money and left the existing one in place. Not impressed mr Honda and now im stuck with a new part that I couldn't really afford and definitely don't need! Rant over.......................for now
The only thing the mechanic can find is it need some new oil in the rear diff as its dried up a bit. Do Honda uk have a email address?

i guess fault code does actually relate to turbo ? so why did independant check show either no turbo faults ?? different code readers ?? well your money back should be on the cards at the very least.....?? plus compo and that should be cost of your replacement turbo !
Well thats right Martin................there was "Nothing" wrong with it !! only jesting pal.................................but they are taking the P I S S !
This is very similar to what happened to my Astra van (Diesel) It kept slowing down with no power and going into Limp mode which is super f**king Dangerous on the M62 early morning in the dark anyhow I got a new Turbo fitted under warranty and it was ok for about 5 months then it started again so I went back and they discovered that it was some sort of poxy clean air valve which is somehow linked to the exhaust gases which must some how get blocked and the cure is every blue moon put in a bottle of fuel additive into the tank and then fill up with diesel .This may not help you Martin but it is a similar problem.
They will end up giving you a good will gesture such as a free service or accessory of some sort. But Honda UK have very good customer service from my experience. My Brother got 5 free services from them for a problem with his Type R
Cheers guys for all your advice, will be typing up a letter in next couple of days once calmed down lol
