    As title.
Having stripped the fairings off ready for picking the new ones up later today, i tried taking the airbox apart to remove the flap, but it doesnt appear accessible from the top.m
Does anyone know how to remove it completely?

You have to unscrew the top half of the airbox first, then remove filters & then you should be able to unscrew the bottom half of the airbox.

Once that's done, you should be able to just about manipulate the air scoop out.

I found the throttle cables got in the way when i removed all of those. Does the lower/inlet part of the airbox just lift out?

If I remember correctly I just had enough slack on the cables to manoeuvre the airbox around them.

So once that part of the airbox is removed what do you do, simply remove the flap?

The air scoop is a seperate piece to the airbox and if memory serves correct, there are four screws holding it in place.

Two screws are above the radiator (access from the front of the bike) & there is one either side towards the rear of the scoop/where it attaches to the airbox (you should be able to see it through the frame if that makes sense).

Haynes manuals are a godsend in these situations :)

Before you remove the air scoop there will probably be a lot of to'ing & frow'ing, & you will turn the air blue.

Im now wondering if its worth the hassle. Ive already blanked the pipe off, but i couldnt tell the difference, which prompted me to try removing the flap. Ill have another look, but if it looks too hard then i may give up.
