There is a long way to flipping mate ,, Where people go wrong is they get it up 12.00 Oclock and shit out , let theyre legs off and loose balance and wreck it . cover your back brake and the slightest tap will bring the front down

I try not to wheelie these days as i wrecked the head bearings on my last bike from slamming the front down ,, I cant help my self thou , All of my mates can wheelie for as long as they want so when 3 bikes pop it up infront of you it would be wrong to be the only whuss on two wheels lol

I love it me but still have lots to learn

Only when I'm on it and hit a bump and the front will maybe lift 6 inches max. Feels like about 6ft though.

Went to a clutch up wheelie school last year, which my lovely wife booked for me, it was great and since then I have been learning the fine art, the blade is fantastic for power wheelies but I do find the clutch very hit and miss (is this just me, where is the best rev range to pop it up in second Dan :) ) but 2nd and 3rd are so easy on the blade I find myself doing it all the time now.

I am no god but practice makes perfect and when you get it right it makes you smile all day :)

I find i need a lot of revs in 2nd and 3rd , 1st gear it comes up to easy so i stick to atleast 2nd now . I just accelerate hard , Pop the clutch and up she comes . Im not really looking at the clocks but i must be half way up the rev range when i pop the clutch and keep twisting as you do , To little revs and it just hovers a few inches of the ground . In the video i posted i must be doing 50 / 60 accelerating after a bend in second and pop it up , I find it alot easier going fast than trying to roll it on doing 30 odd mph ..

the youtube vide i posted in another thread sums it up .. he has a 2nd gear clutch up video aswell that suits the blade better

watch this mate ...... He talks a bit of shit but explains the technique well

I find at the mo I can wind on at 50 in 2nd and it comes up on the power very smoothly, just takes to long and your winding the power out, 3rd goes up 70-80 makes me laugh.

Will have a go in second, still programmed to the r1 which popped up relatively easy compared to the blade. good vid, will have to get out practicing as soon as I can :)

Opposite for me.. I cant do the roll ons atall . Iv tried shutting off then slamming it back , Bouncing the forks etc but just cant crack it ..

On a motocross bike i dont like clutch ups and just slamm the throttle back .. Its weird that how you learn is how you get stuck in your ways

I always power wheelied on the crosser, so kind of use to it, I find in second if you pin it to 5-6000 then roll off and back on hard imediately it comes up very nicely in 2nd, I have increased to a 44 on the back sprocket which improves things all around but it makes power wheelies much eaisier.

I do prefer clutch wheelies as they are more controlable, and you dont ring out the revs so quickly, but like you say, I will have to re teach myself.

Love the photo lol blade looks sweet up in the air :)

dan.... dont do any of that... get it to about 8k and keep it constant for a second or so, get in the back of the seat then just pin the throttle!! no bouncing of forks or snapping action!! it'll come straight up... nice and smooth

i'm not great on the clutch, fine in 1st but 2nd is a diff story!! can keep it going for a while but in 1st it usually runs out of power... trying to chenge whilst up is proving tricky

how those guys just go on and on is beyond me?

stand up wheelies are proper scary!!

I dont bother with power wheelies now mate , I find it so easy to use the clutch and i feel in control , Pop it and the wheel comes to excactly where i want it and at slower speeds .. I tried all the above just coz i couldnt do it .. Im happy on the clutch so thats where im staying.

I would love to stand up wheely but i agree ,, scray stuff lol.. People i have spoke to thou say it is easier to find the balance point

    I`m bloody useless at it.
I had a quick go at the weekend after some instruction from Dan but I was still crap.
will try some of the other techniques mentioned above as and when.
My problem is the same as other have mentioned - as soon as it starts coming up it feels like it is really high. Truth is probably only around 30cm if that!

This is my mate Dukes doing a clutch up to 138mph , He can go for as long as the road is straight .. Dont worry about incriminating footage as he has already been to court for it lol ( got off as the footage was over 6 months old ha ha )

Not bad Dan. The 'signature' manoeuvre of one of the GixerJunkies I go riding with the 140Mph 2 mile wheelie. In fact, I've even seen him wheelieing all the way down the autobhan with full luggage on. No idea how he does it.

It's not big and it's not clever, but I'm guilty of it. Off the power, clutch it up, just depends on what gear I'm in. Can carry the wheel first through third gear. So far thisyear it's cost me 2 sets of forks seals which equaly £250 for Öhlins forks and I'll be changind the head bearings over the winter.
