Wow, so easily done isn't it. 6 weeks of summer down the pan then, sorry for you.

I've had a couple of near misses with an angle grinder on the shin and cutting off the end of a finger with a Stanley knife, but luckily nothing serious like tendons etc.... Just flesh wounds.

I would say if you managed to not sever any nerves in the process you are a lucky man. I did when I did it on a finger, took the 4 months for them to admit the fleshy bit hanging out my finger was my nerve ending and they finally stitched it back together, but not before losing all sensation in the end of the finger. I was lucky, it was only one finger, but Stanley knives are dangerous when it comes to nerves and tendons :( Angle grinders are way more fun ;)

I went thro to the bone on my RH index finger after using an angle grinder without a guard, which also had the switch permanently wired to on as it was furked. Changed the disc then held it in the same place and plugged it in and the disc went straight thru my finger!

Also severed the nerves and tendons in my second finger on my RH when ropening up and replacing silica gel inside 11kV transformer breather canisters when on site because the client wouldn't pay for new items and had loose silica gel in stores on site the glass tube split around the back and my finger went inside then it closed back up with my digit still inside! That was 5 hours in surgery in Morriston Hospital Swansea!!

Woo just like mine but I have dissolvable stitches in mine which I saw briefly until they fitted splint and bandages. Going back Friday for light weight splint and re-dress.
