HRC kit parts are normally intended to work together I'm not sure what you intend but the idle control valve controls just that cold speed idle at start up, depending on what other parts HRC run with the valve would e plane why they offer it? I have the HRC service data on another PC and could look it up however they don't give explanations of the where's and whys only kit diagrams and part number data, why are you interested in just the valve?

Was just looking at it and was interested in what it done, kinda looks like same as pair mod, just cap of the cold idle control valve... i also read somewhere that it helps somehow when your off the throttle
Must be a reason why hrc plug it, simple mod! same with the rad where we have that line hose running they block it off, anything to save abit :p
MIght email ten kate see what they say

Maybe if effects engine braking but good call asking TK they will know, post up what they say.. :) that or just weight loss and simplification of the motor etc. I will check my HRC guide for you later if I am there..

1 reply i got from TK....

For the fast idle it is better to screw the throthle a litlle bit more open
on the throthle body (not on the cable!).

Sent them another email about it so will post reply again

the idea behind it is that when your going into a bend the revs stay higher to help pull you out/round,theres no need for a bike to be down at 1-2k rpm on track,so the mod will put the bike upto around 2-3rpm on closed throttle, maybe e3ven a bit more.mine sits at around 2k on tickover, but you need to be carefull as obviously the bike gets hotter quicker.

you need to remember, anything from HRC is designed for track/race use.so not always a good idea doing the mods to a road bike.(i know your bikes for track vic though)

yeah thats what ten kate said, but he just said you dont need to block it off just open it more at throttle body is the best option... guess it still warms up/starts fom cold start helping it fast idle, then if you got it turned up atad anyways will drop down to that and tickover, i wonder what they set they rpm to

but yeah just looking the manual and thought oooo what is this, lol esp as you didnt have to buy anything to do it......

must be strange feeling at 1st pulling off at say 2-3rpm when your not use it to, bike goes faster than you used to, i will try it haha good lil mod though, never heard anyone else bike higher idleing as such

Though it may be engine braking related, can't do much else.
