Can anyone help i want to buy a rear hugger for my 2016 repsol SP and keep coming up with noting.... does anyone know where i can buy one please help would be really appreciated
Thank you for the reply...I'm looking for either a repsol hugger or a red hugger I've been told because of the abs a hugger is not advisable....I've seen a 2015 repsol hugger non abs and wondered why that would not fit or could it with adjustments ?
It will fit fine, but the ABS unit will hit the hugger when the suspension is compressed. If you are light, and increase the preload it might be ok. But at the full limit of compression, the ABS will hit the hugger. I have had a King Carbon hugger on my 14 ABS since it was new, they say it is fine for the ABS model, but mine has hit the hugger a few times, luckily it has flexed a bit and not totally broken it yet, but there are a few small crachs on the hugger.
You need the abs specific one as it's to take into account the abs control box under the seat area not hitting your hugger under compression. I put a carbon one on my old abs repsol and it looked good with a matching front one just in case you can't get the colours you want...
The R&G hugger is sold as ABS-compatible: https://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Honda/CBR1000RR_Fireblade/2012/RGH0006BK.aspx# I have this on my ABS bike and can confirm that it clears the undertray with no problems.
I used this one from RSR moto https://www.rsrmoto.com/honda-cbr10...e-rear-hugger-2008-2016-twill-gloss-rsr-moto/ It is quite small but looks right on the bike. Originally tried a powerbronze but did not fit well so sent it back
