How the hell do you actually use photoshop i just cant figure out how to change the colour on certain objects
It certainly is a mature app, and has become too advanced for all-but pro users. If you don't need the top-end features in Photoshop then have a look at Paint.net which is a lot easier to use and best of all, free: Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing
I would love to be able to change colours etc... but I have No idea myself.. Art a good suggestion on the you-tube video though
Art's right. Masking and making the masked area look like it was always there in the first place. It's mainly about camouflaging the edges of the altered areas so that you can't see the join. (Something you, Fez, are a natural for), then there's eleventy twelve different methods of changing hue and saturation. Thats, sort of, the problem with Photoshop. It's effing big. It's the main tool I earn a living from and I probably use about a quarter of what it's capable of, if that. It is like the Snap On roller cabinet of digital imaging, one of these days you're going to need a left hand thread extractor and you'll know exactly what drawer to look in. One day you'll need to texture map a carbon fibre shell onto somebody's racing snail and you'll know just which menu you need. There's loads of simpler and much, much cheaper photoshop alternatives and even one or two, easily as powerful and even more versatile, like GIMP, which, again, is free.
Oh yeah Rossi (the GP snail) never did win a race.....lol Oh wait, oh no he didn't win one neither....lol
Its exactly as the others have said, its the masking selecting or establishing alpha channels that takes all the time then its pick your poison for colour changing from eye droppers to hue/sat or curves! Now if all that waffle hasnt seen you off and you really want to learn I can recommend Software training online-tutorials for Adobe, Microsoft, Apple & more for excellent training vids at fair price (free trial too)
as said use youtube guides. for colour change I just use quick mask tool then click refine edges to finish it off.the just use hue/sat to adjust the colour simples
i will stick to the free ones and see how that goes and if i fail at that i will just go back to paint again
