    Afternoon All,

In a nutshell, I will be investing in new discs, as my N/S disc has warped, and the 'newer' O/S disc has left a nasty ridge on the pad pin eye side of my brake pads.

On closer inspection, after cleaning my calipers recently, and after having had the disc fitted by a "Specialist", in 2013, I've found that the disc fitted, is the wrong size, and that the pads haven't been in full contact with the disc.

So, on the face of it I think I'll invest in a new set, and fit them myself, now I know what I'm doing.

But....and not being afraid to spend on the bike.....Why are discs so damn expensive?!?

Brembo, EBC, Armstrong, Galfer, Viper are all highly priced, but is there ANY real difference in their applicaion?

And...Are any of the 'lower' brands any different from their more expensive counterparts??

    Thoughts please...

    Thanks

Personally I would get the so called specialist to replace the disc he cocked up! Or refund towards cost of new disc

Brembo upgrades are similar in price to oem so better disc for oem price

Cheers guys. I'll look at the Brembo ones.

I'll also be contacting the specialist this week about their cock up too.
