Pretty much what Craig said. Always been a hondaphile anyway when the FireBlade first came out, I never thought I'd ride a bike again, let alone this brand new monster that had all the competition cowering in their design offices. I just fell in love with that evocative name and the arrogance with which it looked down its nose at its peers. And now I have one...please see the post above. I new there was something dodgy about you Soss. LOL.
I had had most modern sports bikes R1s ZX10s gixers even a 675 which i loved but it had no power just had a zzr1400 just had loads of power but i could not get to like the look of the back end even with new cans seat hump and the like so went back to the blade which seems to have an over all package in looks/ speed (not the fastest ) but i am no foggy either / handling/ build quality/ an example is when i had the GSXR 1000K7 ever time i came back off a decent run something would have either come loose or fell off (noting that i always check nuts ,fastners after each wash) so for me a top bike this being the third one.
I've had 3 bikes, yam, Triumph and Honda. I've had Honda cars and they hae been great. For me it's like Craig said. The best all round package. Better than the rest when I was taking test rides. Just to say it sais over 500 members but many are spammers.the active list is a bit more accurate
I remember seeing the 1st gen blades on the road and thinking ' that's a proper bike and one day............................' and now i have..
Always had Honda's From a 1982 Honda Z50R , CR80 ,CR125 , CR250 , CRF250 till i passed my direct access and bought a CBR600f . Had 2 of those then bought my first brand spanker in 2007 being a CBR600RR-7 and now my 2011 CBR1000RR. Just love Honda's lol A big reason for me wanting the blade over the BMW and ZX10 having all the electronic goodies was how small the blade was and handled like my 600. Im loyal to the brand now and unless Honda Cock up the All new bike in the future then i will be sticking with the big H
Because every time ive tried i different brand they have gone wrong. KMX125 The cylinder head bolts poppes out, stripping the threads causing all the hot coolant to be dispersed over my leg. Drz400 final drive oil seal blew whilst traveling at 50mph coating the rear tyre in engine oil causing the bike to crash into a lamp post. Was a common fault, They used a mild steal sproket spacer that rusts and bores a hole in the oil seal. Suzuki never admited to the mistake even though many people across the globe had it hapen to them. Simple fix, relpace the spacer with a stainless steel one. Suzuki bandit 600 I crashed it and because of what happend to the drz never looked at another suzuki again. Honda cbr600f had for 3 years and loved it so natural progression was a fireblade and i loved that untill some twat pulled out infront of me. loved it so much i bought another same modle just different colour and a year newer. Ive had other bikes but they pretty much mean nothing to me.
why would you want anything less than the best??????? the bike was built with heart and has a proven race history its been around for twenty years and is still going strong in true to the h badge and like the others say unless honda cock up i always will be !
Build quality, finish and reliability, and the fact it's the best real world road bike as the TT has shown!
