Just seen forecast for coming week, rain, chance of snow and freezing temperatures are on their way back, bloody marvellous!!!
Seeing as it was so nice earlier in the week I thought I might be able to get the bike out this weekend, how wrong I was!!

This 'Spring' business was nothing but an elaborate government hoax.

I was all for getting back out this weekend also, with the bike getting MOT'd Saturday I was hoping for a blast afterwards.
Looks like it'll be more like getting wrapped up n then home to clean the feck out of the bike again. Not a happy chap

There's a great Ian Fleming quote that goes something like: "Bond always thought that the best drink of the day was the drink inside his head just before the first drink of the day."

That's what days like Tuesday are about.

As long as it's not raining I like to have the roof off the car, regardless of temperature. For the last 6 months we have commuted as a couple and there is no way my beloved will entertain open top driving in the winter so I've been trapped inside a small dark box for 40 minutes a day. It hasn't rained here for about three weeks now and yesterday she went to a meeting in the afternoon and went straight home from there so I had to make the journey home alone...

    ...and it pissed down...

    ...and it was Derick's fault...

    Thanks mate.

Derick, I'm going to let this weather pass cos you've said sorry and I've always been big like that.

But I tell you what, sonny, if it's still like this in a couple of weeks when I pick up my bike you're in the world's supply of trouble.

If its like this in a couple of weeks when you pick up *your* bike, then that immediately transfers the blame. Sorry, but that's the way it works. Last to touch it and all that. :D

Derick raises a valuable point shanks. Basically it's the bad juju version of 'Tag! You're it!' It's a protocol that's been in effect for thousands of years.

This doesn't stack up, gents. Derick started the weather. He lives in Glasgow which is basically the home of weather. I'm from London which generally enjoys a year round Mediterranean climate. Derick buys a Fireblade and suddenly it rains in London for the first time in years.
