Just browsing around and found this , I want it.....pity I have no money ! : Honda CBR900RR Fireblade (2001) - £13,999 - Bridgend - Thunder Road Motorcycles (Bridgend) - #7954
I guess I just like bikes and appreciate them from any era, although if I live another 20 years I doubt I would look at a pic of a modern Blade and have the same feeling. I also like the fact it is one of only 22, not too much chance of parking up next to another one.I used to look at my Ducatis, SP1 and my Brutale all the time when I had them. My Blade is a better bike for me, more usable, but it will never evoke the same type of feelings as the others or this type of bike. I never open up the bike garage just to look at it. Perhaps it is just old age making me nostalgic, I also love the SRads.
if that a true evo?thats a lot more than an old blade! a lot of work went into the engine and handling on that bike, bhp figures are pretty similar to any 05-07 blade! when you think how old that is i think that is pretty mad! hrc close ratio gearbox, blue printed engine just a few bits on /in it they were made by ps performance/honda racing britton back in the day a bloke called spider built every one!
they where built at the end of 1998 to celebrate hondas 100th victory at the tt with no expense spared on them, the two brains behind them where mick grant and russel savory and they got the motors putting out 160bhp and they had a hell of a price tag on them cant remember exactly.
