With some things I am really fussy and possibly a little OCD . My current bike is a good example. It's black, with the usual honda logos and silver coloured rear sets etc. I want as much of the bike to be black as possible (within some amount of reason). The top of the forks is gold coloured as is the soon to be fitted Ohlins rear shock and that's OK. There are some colours I just do not want to put on it, even if they are just the logos of mod items. There are some rear sets that I like but they have logos with bright colours on and thus I will not have them. I am interested to hear if any one else on here has particular idiosyncrasies about their bikes, in particular the colours of mod items and overall colour scheme ?or am I just annally retentive ?.............no need to answer that last bit
Your just Anal about it But agree mods got to look good when choosing them before they are added to the bike
I will only stick blue, black or silver things to my bike. Apart from one little local club sticker which has a tiny bit of red in it.
I couldn't agree more, my bikes got a few mods fitted that were fitted by the previous owner. They match the colour scheme of the bike but they aren't to my taste
Yup I'm the same. I'll only put black, brushed ally or a 'little' gold on the bike and it has to add to the overall look of the bike and not make it look like a catalogue shop gone wrong.
I don't like stickers on kit. I don't mind painted logos, riveted or enamel ones too, but I don't like stickers. Jeanette always gets edgy when I buy a new car and insist there are no dealer stickers on it. I don't mind on the bottom of the number plate as long as it's discreet, but stickers are the worse, beaten only by stickers fitted on the piss. The scheme on my bike are a bit too fussy for my liking if I'd had a choice in the matter but at least the quality is Honda quality and not Arthur Daly Motors quality. I'm with the black as possible motif too, with the odd silver and the tiniest possible gold accents. I always find gold so vulgar darling.
Ive toned it down a bit these days but i have had my share of stickers on my Gsxr1000s and enjoyed them. Current bike HRC has the usual set and again i quite like it .I have got the same issue as Kpone regarding the poxy Main Car Dealer sticker they sneak onto the rear screen i always make them remove them and explain that there is a massive amount of time and RD involved in getting the apperance of a car spot on only for some crettin to afix a bright yellow sticker in the window. Next major gripe is the set of leathers issue these are always plastered top to bottom in free advertising and some good looking suits/Jackets are spoilt by this.Rant Over (is it time for bed)?
I cant make my mind up with stickers . I done the sticker thing with the 600 so went for a black blade as the repsol , HRC and white & Black are stickers which i thought looked bait tacky close up ( no offence to any owners, i love all your bikes !! ) At first i didn't want any stickers, then i stuck some on , then i peeled them off , now i have stuck more on and half way through peeling them back off . Cant make my mind up but thats the great thing with stickers , You can change your mind and peel them off Added parts thou have to match the scheme of the bike , cant have something sticking out like a soar thumb
I have had stickers on some of my past bikes and I loved em, looked really nice. I really like the look of the race bikes with the masses of stickers on. But my black blade just looks to me like she should be......black ! and stickerless.
I'm with you on this 1 Dan. I think certain bikes suit stickers, but the likes of the black bikes, they suit it with none or very little as being suttle is what they are all about. When I was buying my blade it was between the Repsol and the Black n gold. Totally different perspective between the 2 bikes but I love either end of the spectrum so long as it suits the bike.
The phrase I believe. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all have different ideas of what our ride should look like. Personally, now a days the only think I like to see plastered all over the front are well squished bugs
Well a reach around is only FairPlay after all, so if HRC, Repsol and Monster want me to advertise their shit on my bike I thought the idea was that they contribute to the cost of running it.
