iffy paint finish around frame welds. 2011 cbr1000rr

    hi all,
    just picked up my new blade last week and on the frame where the sections are welded together the paint finish looks different when viewed from different angles. mines the silver type finish and although it looks the same colour it seems to have shiny patches. 1 weld (the most visible) looks worse than the rest. dealer said its normal but not too impressed by it. any 1 else have similar marks.

    Mine is new with silver frame and cant say iv noticed anything like that.. Ill double check thou

    I checked mine. Near one weld I can see a small patch that looks slight different when you change angles but it's nothing I would think of complaining about.

    That said I have just come from owning a Suzuki !

    +1 Any pictures we can see what your on about then. Is it a heat related mark from the welding or a finish issue (Guess the silver ones are shot blasted?)

    it looks like a heat related mark but just been fussy i guess. i,ll get some pics and post up.
