Good morning to you all, Yesterday i received my new Blade 2018 and it looks Amazing. Today I´m planing to take her for a looong ride. Unfortunately my dealer have not received the instruction manual so I´m wondering if anyone have it electronicaly? If not could anyone please explain to me what it says in the manual about brake in (first 100mi?) It would be much appreciated if you could leave your own thoughts out of this thread since I´m intrested to hear what Honda recommend. Thanks in advance Cheers! /Sunil
Hiya Sunil, glad to help, but only because you posted a pic!! Can't believe the dealer didn't have the manual, but anyway, here goes. I have a 2018. Page 16 of the Owner's Handbook headed 'Riding Precautions' says: 'During the first 500 km (300 miles) avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration avoid hard braking and rapid downshifts ride conservatively (WTF) Avoid excessively hard braking. Have scanned the pages for you, but it didn't reproduce too well.
I think you're right. A forum member purchased the genuine Honda manual recently, might have been @keithg1748 . He had to take out a second mortgage to cover the cost!
Hi Sunil, welcome an nice bike you have there! Have you never broke anything in before? I have many times, had many new rides and some old dogs as well and the trick is to just treat her gently for the few go's!
