I am coming up for my insurance renewal at the end of the month and I'm not sure if I should mention that I've got a HM Quickshifter.
Can I have your thoughts please?
I unfortunately got 3 points last year, I've got a PC3, Harris levers, Puig screen, braided hoses, Akrapovic slipon, K&N filters, pro bolt titanium race spec bolts.
What have you guys/girls done that have mods especially those riding the roads with a HM shifter?
    Cheers Paul

I told them didn't seem to make any difference, anything engine related exhaust, pcv, HM plus I have told them about anything non performance rearsets frame covers etc they said wouldn't be covered or replaced with OE parts ... That's MCE insurance

I listed everything on mine and it went up by £50 which I am happy with, at least its all declared if the worst happens and they and refuse a claim

Rules have legally changed now and they have to specifically ask you about modifications / extra's.

If they don't ask then it's not a problem.

The way I try to look at it is, would I have wished I spent the extra £50.00p if it all goes pear shaped.
I think Insurance is quite competitive these days, they want your money and won't turn you away.
    Good Luck, Mike.

I would declare all your mods, it may increase your premium but in the event of a claim it gives them an excuse not to pay out, because you didn't tell them.

I am not to familiar with this new dont ask, dont tell policy.
