Has anyone got a helmet with an internal visor, I have heard that they rattle a bit when not in use? Cheers
I have had one in the past. It was a Caberg V2. It was a budget helmet but actually very good. No rattles at all.
I am currently using a Scorpion EXO-1000, no rattles and the air pump system to inflate the cheekpads is a welcome addition - when the wind direction changes it can reduce wind noise. The helmet really fits nicely ( I tried loads!), I thought the air pump thing was a gimmick but it really works for me! I also have a Caberg V2X carbon - the whole thing creaks but the inner visor doesn't rattle... make of it what you will as I am sure many people like the Caberg and i bought it based on good reviews but i know which one I take off the shelf when going out.....
Shark S900C and internal visor doesn't rattle. Does steam up a little on cold morning though so it may need some anti-fog stuff for it.
My agv has one and its a godsend in low sunlight no rattles either although it can hang a little in your vision when not in use.
+2 and a cracking lid they are. got mine for £200 at the NEC show last year. Found the inner visor to be very handy and do use a mirror visor when very sunny and they work a treat
Are we talking about helmets with normal external visors plus internal sun visors though, or are there helmets with just a single, clear visor with internal fixings? My HJC has an internal sun visor which is a handy back up when I don't wear my shades. No rattles whatsover. It does channel the air underneath my contact lens when the main visor is open though.
I've got an agv s4 stealth with the internal visor. I can't stand the visor and never use it but it doesn't rattle at all. Other than that the helmet is great.
My Schuberth S1 Pro has an internal visor which is very good - no rattles and easy slider on th helmet to operate it. One problem with the internal visor is that you forget to clean it like the main visor. A few times I've found it really milky looking - cleans off easily with a lens cloth though. I think the milky look is because it's coated with an anti fog coating that attracts the grime. I liked the Shark internal visors but found they fouled on my specs frames so a no go for me. Something to think about if your ride with glasses. Steve
if you got the shark vision r, they are built for people who use glasses and I find they fit very well
Yes it's a bit odd because they have cut aways in the check pads for specs. Perhaps my head is on the large size or my bins are massive - what ever they stopped me droping the internal visor Remel.
I have one in my Schuberth C2, no rattles. I also have one of those cheap (£55) Helmets with the crosss of St George on it, thats got one too, but the lowering/raising action is much better than the £330 Schuberth.
