iPad - TV ???

    Can I play my iPad through my TV?
    I have my dads BT sport on my iPad but would be better on the tv obviously, is there a cheap cable to connect the two?

    Why not watch BT sport on the pc/laptop and plug that into the TV using HDMI cable

    You can buy a HDMI adaptor for the ipad, but the question is if the App will allow the video to output. I did this with the main TV On Demand Apps and not all of them would output to a TV.

    I thinks there is a "rights" issue to mirror the iPad when watching these apps. My old man can't do this when watching sky (through a UK VPN) while at his holiday home in Turkey.. can only watch on the iPad..

    Apple TV is the answer as you can mirror the iPad or iPhone to show all apps on screen..... £99 wherever you purchase

    Apple Tv! as the man said.
    you can then mirror anything on the pad onto the tv.
    works like a charm!

    Apple TV is incredibly easy to use. You can also get Netflix, iplayer, ITV player ect ect on it.

    Was hoping to spend 5-10quid on a cable but it does look good, is it wireless?

    Pretty sure you CANNOT mirror it when watching certain apps.. be warned! My old man can't with SkyGo..

    Some apps you may not be able to. I use a streaming service for all the sports channels and they mirror a treat in 720p. I believe BT Sports app allows you to mirror through Apple TV.

    No you don't need to jailbreak to get those services. If you want to jailbreak don't buy the latest version! I believe there is no jailbreak available for it yet.
