As title. Just bought a 1 piece the same size, make & model of my 2 piece, but am really pissed that the 1 piece comes up so short that it's crushing my berries and feels like i'm gonna split the seams & zip. God help me if i came off in it!
Mate, I spent (as we all have) a lot of cash on an Alpinestars two piece. I went for a suit that I felt comfy in straight away. I wish I hadn't..... It's far too big really. I wish the staff in the shop had been knowledgeable enough to advise me properly. Even in a far too large two piece my balls have rolled down either side of my back at some point!
Dave's right .The correct fitting is tight on the chest and " The John Wayne" walk but once in the riding position it should feel right ,and if it's to slack it could rotate and move around in a crash or flap about on the straights .
I can barely breath in it. There's much less room in it for my back & chest protector. Plus it took me ages to get the zip done up, let alone get my 2nd arm in, it was a bit like watching Jimbo put on a wetsuit
You may have answered your own question Muff! Did you try the suit on with the back protector prior to purchase ? Either that see or see If Colin has a spare that way you are garenteed a looooooooose fit
!? Little confused as to why I've been dragged into this.... But fair enough. lol They do take getting used to getting on and off and should give a little but tbh mate, sounds like you just bought it too small and wasted all that hard earned cash. Chin up, shit happens Did you not try it on before? Bit of a schoolboy that.... Take it back and get one that fits. They should be tight though, almost like wearing a wetsuit, I know, because my one fits me
As stated above, it is obviously the wrong size, but the last thing you want is a loose suit, trust me, when you go sliding down the blacktop, the fraction burns from the leather are far worse than a tight fitting suit
It should give a little, I suggest you wear it around the house, as much as you can. Getting in and out of a 1 piece suit, does some getting used too, also when wearing with a back protector, make's it even more difficult to get on/off. As Kentblade says, you don't want a loose suit. Have you asked the shop if they will change it for a bigger size?
Getting into a 1 piece just takes practice, sounds like a size up is needed so get it swopped if I was you and take your back protector and crouch in it also when trying new size
I think you've all confirmed that i need the next size up as i had a right sweat on just wearing it in the house for a short while. I didn't try it before buying as it's the same size as my existing 2 piece equivalent and assumed that the size should be the same, after all it's not like i've gone for a different make. I've a trackday at Cadwell 2mo so i may try it there, but i'm worried about it taking my focus off the track if it feels tight when on the bike?
Not dragged mate, but me getting in to this 1 piece reminds me of the struggle you had with your waterproofs.
Tuesday looking better weather wise, although the storm is looking to pass further south now so Cadwell may be ok Monday? I might try and get in on Tuesday?, as there are still places left at just £49 I have never done a BWT day, I suspect they drop the last session yes? as it will be to dark btw my one piece is tight, but I prefer tight to loose, I did however have to drop my back protector down to the pro2, as my pro4 was just to wide enjoy Gary
Absolutely! Almost had a result though, just found the next size up on fleabay, only this one is just within driving/riding distance. If we can agree on price then i should be able to try this one, although riding back with a spare suit onboard could be interesting.
