Guys I'm looking at buying a 2007 blade. I hope to do some touring and have been thinking about buying a Ventura rack. Luckily I found someone selling one very cheap - but it's for the 2004 model. Will this fit on a 2007 blade? I'm told the rear is the same. Can anyone confirm if this will fit ok? Thanks
Thanks, this is what a few other people told me also, however I emailed Ventura and they came back with this: The kit for the CBR1000 RR 2004 is the H121/B and the 2007 model is the H125/B kit. Also these bikes are different widths so the racks are also different sizes. I've bought it already anyway so I'll just have to see! Perhaps i can simply replace one or two parts and have the right setup?
I'm looking for a Ventura system for my 2005 so if you do find it's different and want to get shot then let me know. They seem to be like the proverbial rocking horse poo at the minute.
As it happens I still have the Ventura stuff from my 04 in the garage, which I keep meaning to put on eBay, let me know if you want to make me an offer?
Hi, I want a million dollars, I guess I won't get that though ;-) hence the invitation to make me an offer - PM may be better. Just been to the garage to check, I have the side rails, both luggage and sports rack, and the grab rail. None of it fits my new blade, but the bags do, so have kept them. It is well used, I did 65k on my 04 bike, the rails could do with a paint I guess, but its all perfectly serviceable, and includes the locking nuts on the rails - they can get lost and people replace them with something less elegant!
I hope I can do some sort of swap. Still worth buying for the bag anyway I got the whole thing for under 100 and with a free haynes manual. Annoying it wont fit though..
