So, I bought an IS4 QS and hope to fit over the w/e coming.

Reading through the instruction manual (attached it here) I see that the DCS Durashift sensor can be used in either a push or pull format.

So my first question is, for my standard 1down 5up road gear shift should I connect it in push format? ...my reasoning is the connecting rod which it is part of is pushed up by my left boot into 2nd, 3rd....and so on.

My second question to those who have fitted these things is, is there anything that I should look out for? ...any gotcha's or tips?

    Cheers all.

Yep push configuration. You are compressing the sensor as opposed to stretching.

I found the left hand coil difficult to get to but its fairly straight forward. Just a bit fiddly!

As above push configuration and the left coil is tricky to get to. I loosened off the left fairing which enabled me to pop the air duct out by about 20mm, made it easier to access. Also be careful with the quick shifter wires between coil plugs 1-2 and 3-4 as they are fairly short. I had to shorten the shift rod, that was maybe because of my rear sets. It is pretty straight forward just take your time.
