Just got comformation of next gears price for my ferry to TT 2013, 1 person with motorcycle 30th may- 8th june £236 with reserved seating both ways, cant wait again and I dont really think the price is too high. Though they must make a fortune over the fortnight..
Yep got mine today £218 minus the seating and the price is too high plus not enough sailings in my opinion.
Jeez, wait till you have to take a van or race truck over there, they dont even give you lube! as for the amount of sailings, they are flat out on both boats and bring in a 3rd ship for tt fortnight, thats all they are allowed to run!!
yep got mine in yesterday too Me and my mate are only going as foot passengers though £96 each from the 30th may till 9th june Can`t wait as its my first TT
€260 return for the bike from Dublin. Scandalous, and they have shifted the sailing times which means a 5 am departure from home instead of 10am and wont get home till midnight
You can understand why they do it, lots of demand = higher price but still does not seem right. Same with kids holidays we get stung. Same they can't pit more boats on BUT even if they had 6 on I bet the price would not drop much
i paid more last year,and the year before,going by car this year £600 for four of us,instead of just over a grand with the bikes,i moan about the price but once your there the price is forgotten.
total rip off considering I can get a return sailing to France for less. no wonder so many smaller boats make a killing taking bikers over.
i can get from fishguard to rosslare for alot less,and its on my doorstep,some of my friends sail and it costs them about 20 quid a night to moor in peel,now thet is cheap digs for the iom.
yeah we went over one year and it was £50 return for us on a private yacht from the north coast of ireland.
