Hey guys, I just fitted adjustable levers that I bought on ebay. Fitting was dead simple, easier than expected. That was yesterday and I went to ride the bike today - and realised they are not fitted correctly. I clearly did not test it as the brake lever seems to be half pushed as its hard to move the bike back and forward.

So I don't have the tools right now (the bike was parked in work) so I'll have a look at it tomorrow - but I thought I'd just ask... Is there a particular way to fit these - what should i do or check?

What make of levers are they? All geniune levers should be an easy swop over! Chinese copies might be the problem.

Might be worth putting a photo up! A picture paints a thousand words and all that!

I wouldn't be surprised if the levers are simply not quite the right dimensions.

I once had the same problem with a chinese Pazzo copy clutch lever... it never quite fully released, which resulted in clutch slipping.

On some models there is a hole in the brass barrel that the mc pin locates in check you have located this correctly otherwise installation should be straight forward.

Fitted these levers to my Track Bike before I bought Brembo units.

Had the same problem as you.

Simple mistake is as stated above if you look inside the Brake lever you'll see a rotating collar which the Master Cylinder pin pushes against.
If you spin the collar around you'll see it has an indentation for the MC Pin to locate in to.
You've simply got the Pin just pushing on the outside of the Collar thus causing it to be pushed in a mm or two and hence the binding.

    Easy fix
