Just installed Mivv X end can and PCV. I start up i am getting white smoke and the engine doesnt hold at the idle. I have shifted the idle max to the right and it just about holds under 1000rpm. The exhaust doesnt sound smooth and is very "poppy". The stock map seems to be the best for the RR5 at the moment. But just wanted opinion on what should i be doing next, i was thinking custom map and someone has mentioned tweeking the carbs. Cheers
No carbs on this bike. What map are you using? Have you checked wiring is correct? I.e. TPS wire correct way round?
I suspect the white smoke would be from condensation in the pipes. Does it stop once it is up to temp? A custom map will normally help, but try the free ones from Dynojet first.
i think the white smoke is ok now, i have changed the map to "stock" for the bike. I was about to take it for a test ride but now it wont start up !!! its just ticks over. I have provided a link to you tube above just to see if it sounds "normal". The wiring could be incorrect the instructions arent particularly helpful and i cant find a you tube video to help either.
Kill switch, side stand, in gear? If not there is a plug that frequently gets plugged in wrong, think it is the TPS one, or plugging it into the TPS causes problems.
Ok, so I have unplugged the power commander completely, so as to start fresh. However she still not starting up. Only thing i have really messed with is the throttle idle adjuster. So technically all i have done is fitted the exhaust. I think the servo was removed previously but can someone tell me where this should be located & if i need a oxygen optimiser or o2 eliminator?
defeated !!! i think i am defeated for today. there is no logic to why it wont start. Its turning over and making all the right noises, kill switch & neutral checked. Cables i have messed with have been checked. PC5 is ok for the RR5 the website has all the tools for the bike, if it wasnt supported then i wouldnt find any support. I have unplugged it for the time being and trying to get it started as is.
It's easy to flood a blade, if flooded hold about 5-10% throttle and it should pick up and start, as said load the PC software and be sure you see 0% and 100% throttle, as for maps if your having a probelm load a zero map, or select all the cells (CTRL-a) and enter 0 in them all then send the map. You can get PCV for 04-07 blades but whatever ver all all act the same. Crushed fuel line will get your head spinning, has me many times.
