Anyone ever attempted this? I've got a plan to ride to Italy this year to visit the Ferrari factory then the ducati factory on the zx10r it's about 14k miles there.
Basically will my ass be destroyed doing such an epic journey on the bike lol

Don't know how you'll fair on the Kwak, 300-400 mile stints are a piece of piss on the Blade.

Depends on how long you're thinking of taking...
    2 days...doable
    3 days...piece of piss
A lot depends on ferry times, whether you get a good days riding in etc
I've done Monza in 2 days easily several times but it's much more relaxed over 3. My epic was to do Misano to St Malo in one hit (1060 miles).

Rode down to do a pre booked ducati tour.... They decided to shut but didn't tell me.

    Italians lol

Roads weren't all that tbh, went to Florence with some crazy Dutch lads which was cool....

Dolomites are stunning but pot hole heaven...

Went down via route napoleon back Dolomites, Austria Germany Black Forest and ring.

    Awesome trip.

Used to do that milage every weekend when I was coming home from my Base on my blade if I'm honest I think the zx10r is more roomy so I would guess it will take the milage better.

The 'Old Model' :D outdated' ZX10R has just been praised for it's roomy comfy riding position in a recent Magazine Euro Tour feature.

Fast Bikes or Performance Bikes, can't remember tbh which

I don't know how much euro riding you have done but it is fab !!!! just get on the tunnel and go, it is really as easy as going to Cornwall.
We get full breakdown, recovery for the bikes, keep a spare debit card hidden,,,some cash too. mobile phone sat nav.Book ahead with booking dot com,,if you want,,it is a bit easier to have a target for the day. Italy is great, they move on there. Buy road tax at the border if you are going via Switzerland,,we never, never got caught either but if you do it's many hundreds of euro.

Italian alps are great, Italy..depending where you go, but the ride to get there Via the Ardennes and Germany is epic. Switzerland too, the roads are brilliant...
