Well that didn't take long. Goodbye 'blade, Hello VFR1200 DCT. Yes, blame Sinewave. This is the bike he pointed out a couple of weeks back when I posted that I was thinking about trading in for one. Cheers mate. Just delivered this very evening. Only 650 miles on the clock+ full luggage (1200 quidz worth!) . My 'blade + 4K cash. Sweet. Never even seen one in 'the flesh' before. Can hardly wait to give it a go but wadya know it's fekin snowin'.
Plenty of good touring days ahead El nicko ,wrap her up and keep her warm ,too easy to come off this weather and the salt will kill that shiney tool
Nice one Nick. Proper touring weapon for munching those miles up in comfort. Look forward to a review of you first proper ride on her. Enjoy
allways liked the vfr 1200 really fancied one myself but cant quite bring myself to get rid of the blade.so bought an old bm in stead!
Looks nice mate. Had the old VFR800 some years back and that had plenty of go in it so I expect yours will be pretty quick as well as comfy. Enjoy it.
Nice Nick, added advantage is no accomo costs when you get to wherever you are going, just lift up those panniers and they have a canvas top for camping in, just like a VeeDub camper bus.
Doesn't look a lot different from your "touring 'blade" tbh. I'm sure it will provide you with many happy miles
Weeeell, I'm actually thinking along the lines of an auxiliary tank. Any suggestions as to where I might stick it?
I reckon you just convert a pannier and get another 100 litres in there, decent bit of flexi hose, tap into fuel cap and vacuum it.....job done. Give you a range of about 1500 miles then, but will obviously cut down on your living space.
