Jorge Martin signing for Aprilia at the last minute comes as a shock. Really had him down for the Ducati factory ride. But the marketing draw of MM93, despite his age, on a Ducati must have convinced Ducati to plum for him (if he signs) over JM89. Cant see JM89 taking the 2024 championship now. Ducati wont give him the true focus/attention he needs as they dont want him taking No.1 status (and secrets) to Aprilia! Pecco must be laughing away! That said - JM89 wont have to listen to Ducati and can ride like crazy to win the championship. It'll be good to see JM89 on the Aprilia - but again not 100% convinced its a package to consistently fight against the Duc's. Really good on some circuits and then fades - but that could be Vinales and Espargaro. So it'll be good to see what Martin can do on it.
