Just a case of man the fook up mate. A confident interview always goes down well. End of the day you know how to do your job.
Be yourself mate..... Oh hang on ..... No seriously, be yourself and honest, if you don't know something then say so, don't blag. And do some research on the firm and get down questions about your role and progression together. That's way you'll have plenty to talk about if it doesn't go straight to football ha Oh shite.... Your fooked again! Lol Good luck!!
Consciously speak slower than you think you should. Chances are you'll be speaking faster than normal and hating the sound of your own voice. So slow it down and don't be scared to pause and think before answering. Nerves are horrible - it's not a case of stopping them, it's a case of not showing them. Good luck!
To add to that - knowledge is power. The more you know about the person you're meeting, the company you're interviewing for, the role itself, plus you have prepared good questions based on this knowledge, plus you know your CV like the back of your hand and can speak freely about it and your experience then you are in a great place!
Look them in the eye, keep your hands still whilst listening, don't sit with legs or arms crossed, know your cv, don't lie/bullshit/over embellish. Most important is to remember that you are interviewing them as well.
Cheers guys, knowing the company and person isn't an issue as its within the company I work, I tend to interview with a stranger better than people I know. I put it down to not knowing them so not giving a crap if I make a fool of myself, where this way I see them every day, and chances are everyone will know straight away
in that case I really wouldn't worry, they know what you are about anyway and how you work so pressure off imo. good luck mate.
Bit late perhaps mate but channel your nerves into positive energy, sounds a bit naff I know but tell your self you can do the job and back that up in your own mind with any relevent details. Dont bullshit or tell fibs, a good interviewer can see right though that, if you dont know an answer to a question, be straight and say what you would do to find out. Proffessional Companies are not there to catch you out, they want to know if you are the right person for the job and importantly if you will fit in their organisation, team etc Good luck with it anyway!
Use the old addage - imagine the interview panel are naked.... Seriously tho - you need to exude confidence. It's feels embarrassing but it works. It's all about selling yourself and your experience. I also always try to relate answers or presentations to the job/person spec. As a person who regularly interviews people - those are the things that are always impressive. Good luck fella!
Well that didn't got to well Interview didn't flow too well, to many umm's and arrrr's Presentation went ok but nothing special Did some skill based data entry which I nailed but entered all info a week fecking early! What a cock! Lol Oh well mark that as experience lol
