Hi I'm new to this group 1st big bike (had a 09 R6 from new with full race spec titanium exhaust, power commander and the rest for last 7 years) so any advice is welcomed, got my tail tidy with LED turn signals to replace the ugly 'shovel' will I need resistors or relay to stop it flashing too quickly or are they LED already as I couldn't tell and forgot to ask at the showroom. ..thanks in advance Ian
here it is ..get a week on wednesday before Easter so great timing tail tidy comes tomorrow so wondered do I need a relay or is it a straight fit now?
Depends on the front indicators if they're led you might not need a new relay or load resistor! If fronts are bulbs you probably will need load resistors or relay, relay is probably located in the front nose cowl on top of the headlamp if previous models are anything to go by I meant post some photos of the bike when you get it and fit the tail tidy
Congrats & welcome! I'd have asked the dealer to fit it free of charge as part of the sale, saves you the headache!!!
Good for you mate and welcome. I went to my local Suzuki dealers today (B&B Suzuki Lincoln) and had my first look at the new GSXR 1000. It's a moto gp bike and stunning too. Get some pics of the new blade on when you can.
I actually went in for a CBR600RR (Repsol) but none in stock now, got quoted £220 for just the tail tidy and was gonna find out out much to fit wtf so didn't bother asking about the aftermarket accessories on this ..good old fleabay will do for me £34 with LED indicators looks really good quality too - just arrived today
I may just suck it and see, did this with my R6 flashed a bit quick for a day then sorted the relay the next day this time I'm only changing the rear so may not make much difference to the speed, also I'm sure I have read the bike now comes with LED lights all round but could be the SP2 not sure
I have picked up mine today and damn its nice; but i think the tail tidy fitting is different, will try to take a pic to show you
just got mine back last night, I'm gonna see if I can make it fit this weekend and let you know if successful or not
