Just bought some Gold 07 hrc wheels of a mate for £100 for my 05 Blue fireblade.

Got the front efectivley for free as it has a slight ding in the rim.

The bead is fine and straight, just the outer lip has a slight dent.

How would you go about staightening it? Its purely asthetics only as the wheel is straight and runs true.

    Pics.

I'd leave it mate or if it bothers you , send it to Motoliner in Maidstone, they do good work. I have done numerous trackdays and 1000s of miles with a front wheel ding worse than that.

I only bought them cause they were £100 lol.

Not because they are gold. At the end of the day I will probably just shod them in supercorsas and run them as trackday wheels. Just looking at that dent i know is going to bug the hell out of me.

Cheers for the reply's I may just fit a tyre and see if it feels ok. Then see how much I notice it when it's on then make a decision wether I get it done or not.

What do you think these will look like on my blue/silver rr5? Worth keeping them gold?

I was thinking that. If I go down the powder coat route I will get them fixed obviously lol.

I will just bung a tyre on the front, swap my discs over and see what they look like fitted.

Anyone got a spare straight set of discs for a 2005 blade? :)

I recon going careful with a hammer and a block of wood would remove most if not all of that!!
talk about bargain i've been looking out for wheels for months and they've always fetched good money.

Its because everyones cottoned onto the fact they fit the 08 onwards blades with very little modification.

I've got a set not sure how many miles they've done as i got the bike with galfers on, i got the bike around 7thousand miles so don't reckon they've done many miles at all I could measure the thickness of the discs if you fancy them? Not sure how much to ask tho anyone know how much a set of used discs go for like?

    Cheers
