Hi guys, New to the group based in Derbyshire! Just got my first blade track bike 09, have one for the road so it made sense to have the same for some track days, Love them! Could anyone point me in the right direction for what to do when stripping down for the track, I’m pretty competent with a spanner just have no idea what to do with the wiring loom, what you can or can’t take off to throw a warning light! Any help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has any suitable parts for the track please fire away! Looking forward to the forum, help and advice! Thanks Jamie
welcome mate, I might be doing same thing with my 12 plate, or if right bike comes along ill buy that, cant help u with loom, this is a good upgrade tho https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cbr1000r...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 usually go for £550
Hi Jamie and welcome to the forum. Is the bike in the profile pic the one you've just bought?? it's just that it's exactly the same as my last bike!!!
Welcome to the forum fella. I’m from Derby but moved south along time ago to join the Services. I’ve found plenty of help, advice and friendly banter will always be at hand from forum members
Hi mate the blade a nightmare for throwing up codes. Best thing todo is get HRC ecu which eliminates hiss etc. There was a loom and ecu on the forum cheap not long ago.
Welcome to the forum. I converted my road bike to track, 7 years ago 2009 blade. Im not logical with electrics, but i changed the dash, removed the side stand, installed GPR dampener, installed blanking plates. And i had no problems. I eventually sent my loom to track electronics but it cost 450 pounds. A warning light is okay IMHO if its not a major engine issue, and it starts and runs.
