Rode to Atherton today and Nic,Jon & George entertained, informed and upgraded the hell out of my suspension. Springs and valves upgraded (13st 8 and 14st 11 in kit) TTX36 fitted to the rear. Sag set and on my way home. Initial thoughts:-

Forks felt solid, yet plush over bumps. When stopping the brakes felt so powerful with very little dive. The front is very planted, I haven't pushed the rear enough to find its true potential. The whole experience was a good one and I would thouroughly recommend Kias.

£700 delivered, It will need new oil next year. Its cheap to get them from the USA but I'm not sure how you would get on with a warranty if it went tit's up, The forks are the mod I would recommend most.

The upgrade is for both I suppose, It has improved the bike for the road and I'm hoping it will transform the bike on the track.

£700 was second hand, its about the going rate for the time of the year and a few around.

As i said on the previous thread, Ohlins is far too much money for what it is... if your going brand new Give Steve Hicken @ Zion Moto a ring and get yourselfs some top quality Shizzle Bitubo tackle, best stuff on the market.

Craig, I agree its quality, but if you blow a seal on a trackday whats the chances of getting one? Im not even sure Zion keep spares. Kias used to sell/fit them but stopped due to lack of support in the UK. The chances of one breaking is slim and they are reliable.

Zion keep spares, as do several dealers on the support network.

A mate of mine needed seals & 2 hrs later he picked them up from them.

IIRC Kais stopped doing Bitubo because Zion were appointed sole importers & service agents. My point is for the money there is no better suspension on sale unless your names Mr V Rossi with a factory ohlins contract in your back pocket.

As I say they do get good feedback on quality, I know they are on ebay but I cant open the home page as it says the site will harm the computer.

I like Maxton and they are local, but its £380 for the fork upgrade, then £90 to have them fitted there, they also charge for fitting the shock. It was as cheap to get ohlins cartridges fitted by Kias as to get Maxtons springs. (not that I had the ohlins forks)

    Still currently cheaper than ohlins!

Gixerator, thats pretty steep, for 295 you can buy the ktec ssk piston kit, for 400 you can get it fitted with new weight matched springs, and thats a lot of bang for your buck.
