    Too glorious a day for that work malarky so took off with a random kwak rider for a tour de Hawes & Lake District with plenty of ice cream and cake stops :) over 200 miles of belting roads & non stop sunshine :)

    Great little road that.
    I tend to use that as a route to head towards the Heartside pass when I'm down in that area. Makes for a decent run out

    Great roads around there. We regularly stay in some lodges not too far from there in Hartsop. Did you nip down "the struggle" (the very aptly named road next to that pub) towards Ambleside?

    No, we came up having called in at Chester's by the River cafe in Skelwith Bridge omg cakes to die for :) the kwak guy was localish so gave me a brill tour round. I saw that struggle rd but we carried on to Ullswater to join A66. Went round most of the lakes it was quite beautiful :)
