I have owned a 1st generation pair of Knox Handroids for 6-7 years now and cannot fault them. They have never been crash tested, but with regards to comfort, durability, dexterity etc, they have been amazing and well worth the investment. That said, having done nearly 7 years, they are finally looking tired and I am in the market for new summer gloves. I could play it safe and get the newest generation of Handroids, which will be even better than the pair I have enjoyed for so long, however I keep hearing that there is a pair of gloves potentially even better.....the Held Titan Evo’s. The Titans certainly look impressive on screen, potentially even more sturdy than the Handroids look, however the nearest store to me that sells them is 2 hours away and typically, they don’t stock the Handroids in order to make a direct comparison. Price is similar enough to make no difference to my decision, but has anybody on here been fortunate enough to own or use both pairs of gloves and can provide a comparison? Unless I get a convincing argument for one over the other I’m going to have to buy the Handroids locally, keeping the receipt, then drive to the Held Titan Evo store with the Handroids in a bag, make a head to head comparison and quite possibly return the Handroids for a refund. This is probably the sensible option but seems a faff! Thanks kindly guys. Martin
Never had either but SportsBikeShop sell the Held's and have an excellent returns policy. At that price you will get free delivery and I think free return too. Oh yes they also price match. Not connected in anyway besides being a happy customer of theirs. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/234821
I can't comment on the gloves but I'm using helds slade suit at the minute and its absolute quality. Once my current gloves are done il be getting a pair of titans.
I’ve got a pair of Held gloves, Evo-Thrux not the Titan but similar. Best, most comfortable gloves I’ve ever had. The kangaroo leather palm gives excellent feel, the thumb has an elasticated section at the knuckle making it really comfortable to bend and there’s quality protection in all the most important areas. All in all, a very comfortable glove that still give great feel. I think Held also offer extra size options to ensure a good fit. Not sure about Knox gloves as never worn them so can’t compare. I guess try both on and see which are more comfortable.
I've had the Droids and tried the Helds and went with the Heroic SPR-Pro instead. Much nicer than either. Full kangaroo, stingray sliders..amazing gloves. The Handroids sit in my gear closet now..Haven't used them since I bought the Heroic gloves 3 months ago. .
I love my handroids, never tried any others tbh just liked how they looked ill second sports bikes shop, free returns, they are great and no reasons needed just have them back
How long have you guys made your Handroids last? Mine look dirty and have had nearly 7 years of use. There’s no obvious damage to stitching or seams.....they just feel a bit ‘used’! How often do you replace? Also, for guys who have had both generation 1 Handroids and generation 3 Handroids, is there much of an improvement between the two?
I only got mine start of last year so still look new, I'm fair weather aswell so never been wet. Think they're the latest version not sure of the difference if I'm honest. Had them from sports bike shop last March
The gen 3's have better stitching and don't have the pinch point on the pinky that a lot of people complained about on gen 1's. Stop by, I'll sell you mine for 80 quid.
